FAQs
How
do I forward my emails to another address?
Let's
say that you have an email address of 'myname@myisp.com'.
You also have several email addresses on your web site like
'sales@mydomain.com', 'support@mydomain.com', 'info@mydomain.com'.
So that you don't have to setup your email program to
get mail from all of these addresses, you can simply have
all the mail forwarded to a single address like myname@myisp.com.
With NetLiance Hosting and Maintenance
Plans, you can set up unlimited email addresses (email
aliases) which can then be forwarded to another address.
Please
read the following if you want to setup email forwarding yourself.
Otherwise, please contact
us at 1 (877) 459-6709 and we will set it up for you at
a nominal charge.
1.
Login to your Email Control Panel. The remaining guidelines
are general in that they apply to different Control Panels
on our Unix, Linux and RaQ servers.
2.
Either select the email address you want forwarded, or create
a new one if needed.
3. Click on Modify or Edit, and in the Forward address box,
enter the email address to which you want the mail forwarded.
4. Click Submit or Save Modifications and you're done.
5. Be sure to send a test message to make sure it works
as you intended.
Note:
If you are forwarding mail, do NOT also use a mailbox at the
server unless you also plan to retrieve mail from the server.
