Last month's VIN introduced conversions4u.co.uk, a (fictitious) website selling home improvement services. It's a consumer-oriented site selling direct via e-commerce.

The management team of conversions4u have to decide whether to approve an increase in headcount to support a daily update of the site's 'news' area.

Last month we saw why the 'simplistic statistics' provided by conversions4u's ISP were of no help in making this decision. (Click here to read last month's article.) This month we will see how visitor intelligence measures can allow the management team to come to the right conclusion.

:: Site Intelligence Executive Briefing
Effective visitor site intelligence means more than just counting 'click throughs' and can substantially improve your return on investment - those were the key messages of the recent Executive Briefing run by Site Intelligence Ltd.

The Briefing, the first in a series of such events, was held in London at the Institute of Directors on 15 August and attracted e-business marketing directors, heads of e-commerce and other senior managers from leading companies such as BT, Fujitsu and Linguaphone.

Delegates were given an overview of website visitor intelligence techniques and a practical demonstration of its considerable power to transform websites and e-business success.
