Simplistic Statistics Continued |
|
 |
Last month's VIN introduced conversions4u.co.uk,
a (fictitious) website selling home improvement
services. It's a consumer-oriented site selling
direct via e-commerce.
The management team of conversions4u have to decide
whether to approve an increase in headcount to support
a daily update of the site's 'news' area.
Last month we saw why the 'simplistic statistics'
provided by conversions4u's ISP were of no help
in making this decision. (Click here
to read last month's article.) This month we will
see how visitor intelligence measures can allow
the management team to come to the right conclusion.

directors, heads of e-commerce and other senior
managers from leading companies such as BT, Fujitsu
and Linguaphone.

Web
analysis is making the news, as awareness of this
important e-commerce area grows. So much so that
in one week in August, both Computer Weekly and
Revolution majored on the topic.
Computer Weekly's feature explains how Granada Television
found that web analysis is something they cannot
afford to be without. Revolution focuses on metrics
and how they can help firms measure online effectiveness.
